Both athletes and actors lay their minds, bodies and souls on the line to perform under immense pressure and scrutiny. Where athletes have access to science-based mental frameworks that help them navigate these challenges effectively — namely, sports psychology — there is little in the way of an equivalent for actors.
But by recognising how these strategies can transfer to our own field, actors can experience many of the same gains. Mental rehearsal is one such example.
